National Examination Council (NECO) Gets New Registrar
The Federal Government has appointed Professor Monday Tommy Joshua as the new Registrar of the National Examination Council (NECO). Until his appointment, Professor Joshua was a professor of Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation in the Faculty of Education, University of Calabar.
According to the appointment letter dated April 2nd, 2015 and signed by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Senator Pius Anyim Pius, the appointment takes effect from March 30th, 2015. His appointment follows the tenure expiration of Professor Promise Nwachukwu Okpala, the out-going Registrar.
The Professor who attended Calabar Polytechnic, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Iowa State University of Science and Technology, Ames, Iowa State, USA and University of Calabar has obtained NCE, B. Sc (Educ), M. Sc and Ph. D degrees respectively.
He was promoted to the rank of a professor in October 2006 and has been a regular monitor of NECO and JAMB administered examinations as well as a consultant to many professional bodies.
He has published and authored over 100 publications in many national and international journals.
